Flintshire
Flintshire is a beguiling mix of country villages, traditional market towns, sandy beaches, medieval castles and some of the most stunning scenery in North Wales. Flint Castle was the first castle constructed by Edward I during his campaign to conquer Wales. His later feats include the UNESCO recognised castles of Beaumaris, Conwy, Caernarfon and Harlech. Construction of Flint Castle began in 1277 and was completed by 1284.
